busy, busy....

Excuse me for the absence. There has been a LOT going on in my household. James and I are trying to fight off early signs of a cold by eating/drinking tons of Lemons (read here for the healing power of lemons) and getting some extra needed sleep and rest. Please be praying for us, my family is really tired being sick all the time.

I also went into official “nesting” mode. I decided that we are going to re-do the whole nursery. We went into overhaul this past week and every spare minute we get is spent working on the room. Meaning no time for blogging. I will be back within a week though, and my Music Monday is already pre-scheduled, so at least you have that to look forward too!

I’ll give you some sneak peeks into what we are working with. We are changing her room to a children's girly woodland theme. Chloe’s room was teal, yellow, white with hints of pink. Now it is brown, white, bright green, dark green and fuchsia. The room inspiration came from this fabric that James’ mom used to make Chloe a beautiful blanket. Not only are all the colors and décor changing, but we are trying to make it more accommodating to 2 little ones, so it is forcing us to be quite creative with the use of space. The nursery is a very small room. I can’t wait to share all the details of the new nursery!

Oh and I got 4 more yards of the pretty Ikea fabric for only $4 because it was the display fabric, score!
If you want this fabric, you better hurry... the employee told me it was being discontinued.

We also got our new stroller in and I can't wait to share that too!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND

Music Monday - Copeland

I have been listening to Copeland since I was 18 and let me tell you I still love the melodic and angelic voice. We even use many of there songs on Chloe's playlist for lullabies. Her absolute fave song for us to sing to her is "brightest" and I know we will be singing that to Emery too.
